Southbury Helping Hands provides clothing, books, and toys for children of families identified by Southbury Social Services during the holiday season. Individuals and groups wishing to join in holiday giving have a number of options to choose from:

Sponsor a Child

Sponsors may sign up to provide one, some, or all of the clothing items needed for the child they sponsor. Each child on our list receives two outfits, a set of pajamas, a warm sweater or sweatshirt, a hat and gloves, a set of underwear, and socks.

Toy Drive

Every year we team up with the Southbury Police who sponsor a Gift and Toy Drive for our Holiday Gift Program. New, unwrapped gifts can be dropped off on the Friday immediately after Thanksgiving at the Southbury Plaza Shopping Center at 100 Main Street North, or during the first week of December at the Police Station located at 421 Main Street South, Southbury.

Shop our wish lists for items specifically chosen for each child according to their interests.

Donations

Monetary donations are integral to the success of our Holiday Gift Program, allowing us to purchase winter coats and boots for each child, as well as clothing, other necessities, and wish list items. DONATE HERE.
