The 2025 Holiday Gift Program is underway!

Dear Friends,

The Annual Holiday Gift Program kicks off its 48th year with an exciting new name change! The Southbury Needy Fund is now d/b/a Southbury Helping Hands. We are so grateful for your support which allows us to continue coordinating presents for children from families utilizing Southbury Social Services. In 2024, we gifted items to 145 children from 64 families in need. Presents included new clothing, winter jackets and boots, toys, games, books, sports equipment, arts & crafts, and bath & beauty products.

The Holiday Program would not be possible without the overwhelming generosity of many kind residents, community organizations, schools, churches, and businesses, as well as the Southbury Police Department’s much appreciated Annual Holiday Gift Drive. Please visit our Holiday Gift Program page for information on how you can help.

Southbury Helping Hands also helps families year-round. In response to referrals from Southbury’s Social Services Department, churches, and schools, we provide emergency assistance for car repairs, rents, utilities, pharmacy needs, medical and dental bills, eye exams and eyeglasses, school-organized trips, and town-sponsored summer programs.

With your help and support, many Southbury families will have a brighter holiday season.

With gratitude,

Kathleen Hennessy, Jen Masi, and Heather Fabian
